It is that time of year again when K-12 students need to obtain the latest student reduced fare ID in order to ride Transit at half price. Current student IDs expire soon. Without the BT-issued student ID, the cost to ride is $1.00. Fare is only 50 cents when showing the bus driver a Bloomington

The Route 6 & 9 Friday and Saturday Night Owl service will not resume coming this IU fall semester. Route 6 will end Friday service at 11:30 p.m. at Knightridge both nights. See the Route 6 schedule for semester break schedule change information. Route 9 will end service at 10:45 p.m. at Covenanter & Clarizz.

Bloomington Transit is no longer accepting IU ID cards other than IU Crimson Cards as proof of eligibility in order to ride BT buses without paying fare. Explore and learn about the inner and outer workings of all your favorite vehicles. There will also be inflatable monster truck slide. This event is geared toward children ages 1-10

Due to construction at 7th & Woodlawn, Routes 1 North, 6, 6 Limited, and 9 are unable to serve bus stops on 7th Street between Indiana and Woodlawn and bus stops on Woodlawn between 7th & 10th Streets. This includes the Indiana Memorial Union stop. This detour is expected to last until August 2018.

In observance of Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, there will be no bus or BTaccess service. The Transit Center and Grimes Lane office will be closed.

Due to construction on South Walnut at the Grimes Lane intersection and surrounding area, beginning June 4, Route 1 South will detour on the inbound trip on its way to the Transit Center. From Grimes Lane it will turn north onto Lincoln Street, west onto Dixie, and north onto Walnut Street to its normal path

Once again students K-12 can enjoy unlimited Transit rides during summer break (May 27 – August 7, 2018). Summer Fun Passes go on sale May 22 at the BT office at 130 West Grimes Lane M-F 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and at the downtown Transit Center at 301 South Walnut St M-F 6:45 am

Beginning Monday, May 14, 2018, the Highland Village/Curry Pike route 3 bus will not longer travel along Jacobs Drive and Alexander Drive in Whitehall Crossing. The following bus stops will be removed: Whitehall Crossing at Wendy\’s, Whitehall Crossing at @ Penn Station and the Lowe\’s bus stop. Route 3 will still serve Gates Drive, however.
