What is BLink?
BLink is the new face of demand-response public transportation provided by Bloomington Transit. BLink is comprised of three distinct service types: microtransit, paratransit (BTaccess), and late nite on demand.
BLink Microtransit offers a direct route to and from designated stops for riders in any of the three designated zones. No eligibility or application is required to use BLink Microtransit. Download the “BloomingtonLink” mobile app (Apple Store or Google Play), or visit Book.BLink.RideCo.com to book your ride.
BT Late Nite On Demand is a partnership program with Uber and Lyft to provide discounted rides to passengers – available Monday-Friday, from 9 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. Users can also use the BLink app to book an Uber late nite trip. Service Area / Hours of Operation
BLink Microtransit offers a direct route to and from designated stops for riders within any of the three zones (Downtown-red, North-blue and East-orange) designated on this city map.
BLink Microtransit operates Monday-Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Rides may be booked up to 24 hours in advance or ordered on demand.
Users may experience fewer trip options during peak travel times of 6:30-8:30 a.m. and 3:30-5 p.m. – please plan your travel accordingly. It is recommended that critical trips, requiring a drop-off at a specific time, be made in advance.
BLink Microtransit does not operate on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
If these holidays fall on a Sunday, they will be observed the following Monday.
How Do I Book A Trip?
BLink Microtransit is operated on the RideCo booking platform. Download the “BloomingtonLink” mobile app (Apple Store or Google Play), or visit Book.BLink.RideCo.com to book your ride.
First time users will need to register an account with a unique email and phone number that is not associated with any existing account. See the steps to register an account and book a ride HERE.
How Much Does It Cost?
BLink Microtransit rides are $2 per one-way trip per person.
Passengers can pay on board using cash or on the “BloomingtonLink” mobile app/website with a credit/debit card. Passengers need to select which form of payment they will be using when they book. Exact fare is required – drivers will not make change.
NOTE: If using a credit/debit card in the “BloomingtonLink” app to pay for your trip, you will be charged at the time of booking. If you cancel your trip, a refund will not be issued. You can receive ride credits in lieu of a refund that may be used for future bookings.

BLink passengers have the following responsibilities:
- Pay the proper fare to the driver at the time of the trip.
- Treat BLink personnel and other passengers with respect.
- Be ready to board as soon as your vehicle arrives.
- Be at the specified pickup point to board the vehicle. It is not the drivers’ responsibility to look for the passenger in buildings or elsewhere.
- Limit “no shows” and cancellations since these affect service availability and timeliness for others. NOTE: Repeated no-shows and late cancellations of booked trips may result in booking restrictions and/or denial of service.
- Obey all vehicle and service rules with respect to no eating or drinking on vehicles, no smoking on vehicles, no playing loud music, proper use of seatbelts, keeping service animals under control, not bringing oversized packages and other items, not asking the driver to attend to personal requests of the passenger such as entering their home, handling keys, medications, or running errands.
- Repeated failure to adhere to the responsibilities outlined above may result in refusal of service and possible sanctions in future use of the service.
I have faced a problem after exiting a B.T direct/fixed route vehicle. I had to call the law enforcement when a man also exited the same vehicle and tried to block my way. I would want to report this matter to the public transit authorities. This happened in early May 2025.

Hi my name is misty lawyer I have been using the Book.blink.RideCo.com for a while now and just recently I have had trouble when I go on the website the app doesn’t show which driver is picking u up or when you try to add a ride on the app it says there is no services at the location you put on in the address bar. I also just clicked on the app just now and it is telling me to reenter my email and address than the message pops up that the email or address is incorrect and won’t let me in my account.

Hi my name is misty lawyer when I down loaded the blink app on my phone it worked for a long time. I had to call the bt access office the other day and ask for my account to be reset because when I logged in it said that my email and password was incorrect. I just tried to get on the app on 8/23/25 and it said that I have the wrong email or password and now I can’t get in again. I really do not like the new system I feel like it’s been more of a headache than what its worth

I don’t understand this. Why send a bus for a direct on demand ride?

For our BLink and BTaccess trips, we don’t send regular size fleet buses. We have vans and smaller “cutaway” buses for these services. They are all ADA accessible and can hold multiple passengers.
