21st Anniversary of Stuff-A-Bus Final Results

 To mark the 21st year anniversary of the Stuff A Bus, Bloomington Transit partnered with Hoosier Country and B97 to help make the holidays a little merrier for children and families in need in Monroe County. Our goal was to literally stuff a Bloomington Transit bus with new toys, new children’s coats, gloves and mittens. There were 315 families that signed up for holiday help through the Salvation Army this holiday season.

Bloomington Transit, Hoosier Country and B97 with the help of area stores and a generous community were able to collect over 6400 items. This year, during a pandemic, we are happy to say that we more than exceeded our goal and made this the best Stuff-A-Bus to date. Because of the generosity we were able to help an additional 121 families in Monroe County. With everyone’s help, we “STUFFED” two buses in 2020.

We would also like to thank AMVETS Sons, AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, AMVETS Post 2000, Chandler’s Funeral Home, all of the retail locations, volunteers, and kind donors that participated in Stuff-A-Bus 2020 without whose assistance Stuff-A-Bus would not be possible. We look forward to another successful Stuff-A-Bus in 2021.
