It is that time of year again when K-12 students need to obtain the latest student reduced fare ID in order to ride Transit at half price. Current student IDs expire soon. Without the BT-issued student ID, the cost to ride is $1.00. Fare is only 50 cents when showing the bus driver a Bloomington Transit student ID.
Students purchasing $15 monthly passes must show their valid BT-issued student ID at the transaction. A BT representative will be at the following middle and high school school lunch periods in August as follows:
- BHS North – Aug 10 and 13
- BHS South – August 14 and 15
- Batchelor – August 16
- Bloomington Graduation School – August 17
- Academy of Science & Entrepreneurship – August 21
- Jackson Creek – August 22
- Tri-North – TBA
K-12 students may also come to our main office or the Transit Center with proof of school attendance (schedule of classes, letter of enrollment, etc.) to obtain the BT Student Reduced Fare ID.
