Bloomington Transit will begin operating most routes on a summer break schedule, with several important changes.ย Please note the following features of this summerโs schedule:

Typical start times vary by route between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays.ย The new schedules are posted on each individual route pages below current ones. Click on the black arrow below the map to switch between current schedules and new ones.ย ย

Night service will end at approximately 9:35 p.m. with the last buses leaving downtown on Routes 1, 2 West, 3, and 4 at 9:10 p.m. and Routes 5 and 2 South at 8:40 p.m.

Routes 6 Campus Shuttle and 9 IU Campus will operate a single bus on weekdays at 80- and 40-minute frequencies respectively.ย 6 Limited and 9 Limited service will not be offered during the summer break. Route 9 will not operate on Sundays.ย ย

As in the past, Route 7 service will not be provided during the summer break.ย

Routes will operate on normal summer break weekend schedules.

BT Access service will operate normally with first pickups at 6 a.m. and last drop-offs at 9:50 p.m. on weekdays.ย ย
BT will continue to implement the following protocols to promote physical distancing and protect public health and safety:

Fixed route and BT Access routes will continue to operate fare-free in June.ย

Rear-door boarding will continue on fixed route service.ย

The Downtown Transit Center ticket window will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 6:15 a.m. to 9 p.m. for general information, and for ticketing for Miller Transportation service outside of Bloomington.ย ย

The indoor passenger waiting area and restrooms will remain closed to the public, and portable restrooms will remain available in the outdoor transit plaza area.ย

ย The Grimes Lane Administrative offices are expected to open to the public in mid-June after installation of protective barriers.
