Continuation of Pandemic Procedures

Bloomington Transit is continuing the following policies and procedures through at least February 17 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • Continuation of free rides for fixed route and BTaccess service. Passes and IDs will not be checked nor sold.
  • Passengers must get on and off the rear doors of the bus. Passengers with mobility devices such as a wheelchair, cane, or walker, may continue to use the front doors. Passengers with disabilities without mobility devices may use the front door by asking the bus driver  
  • Continued closure of the downtown Transit Center indoor area and restrooms. It is only open for Miller Transportation tickets sales and general questions. Loitering and waiting inside is not permitted.
  • Mask wearing is mandatory on buses, bus stops, and the downtown Transit Center per Monroe County health order. and the federal Transportation Safety Administration. Customers must maintain social distancing whenever possible.
  • Masks are available for those without one on all buses while supplies last. 
  • Grimes Lane offices remain closed. Lost and found pick-up is by appointment only.
