BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — The 2024 holiday season marks the Bloomington Public Transportation Corporation’s 25th Stuff-A-Bus Anniversary! Bloomington Transit will partner with Hoosier Country 105.1, B97, Chandler’s Funeral Home, AMVETS Post 2000, AMVETS Sons and AMVETS Auxiliary, with all donations going to the Monroe County Indiana Department of Child Services to help make the holidays merrier for children and families in need in our community.
Bloomington Transit will unveil the 25th Anniversary Stuff-A-Bus on Thursday, December 5 at the TJ Maxx/PetSmart location. The Stuff-A-Bus will visit locations throughout Bloomington from December 5th–14th. The goal is to literally “STUFF” the decorated Bloomington Transit bus completely full of donations: Unwrapped NEW toys, clothes, children’s coats, gloves and mittens.
Persons wishing to make a donation to Stuff-A-Bus can drop off their items at the bus during the days and locations listed below. Those who are unable to make it to the Stuff-A-Bus can drop off their items at Bloomington Transit’s main office (130 W Grimes Ln) or schedule a pick-up by contacting Brenda Underwood at 812-961-0523.
Stuff-A-Bus is made possible, in part, by volunteers who staff the bus and accept donations. Without this assistance, Stuff-A-Bus would not be possible. Please contact Brenda Underwood at 812-961-0523 for volunteer opportunities.
We have also created an Amazon Registry, which allows people to purchase donations and have them shipped directly to the Stuff-A-Bus. Bloomington Transit is operated by the Bloomington Public Transportation Corporation (BPTC) in Bloomington, Indiana.
