20th Stuff-A-Bus Anniversary

To mark the 20th anniversary of the Stuff-A-Bus, Bloomington Transit is partnering with radio stations Hoosier Country 105.1 and B97 to help make the holidays a little merrier for local children and families in need.

Bloomington Transit will unveil the festively decorated Stuff-A-Bus on December 4th. The Stuff-A-Bus will visit a number of shopping centers and retail locations throughout Bloomington from December 4 and December 15. The goal is to literally \”stuff\” a BT bus completely full of donated new, unwrapped toys, children\’s coats, hats, and mittens. The donated items will be distributed to families in the Monroe County area that have requested assistance through the Salvation Army

Last year, with the help of area stores and our generous community, we were able to collect over 5,200 items for needy children! Please help us reach our goal of matching or surpassing that number.

To volunteer your business as a drop off location for new, unwrapped toys, children\’s hats, coats, and mittens, please contact Brenda Underwood at 812.961.0523.

Persons wishing to make a donation to Stuff-A-Bus can drop off their items at the bus during the days and locations listed below. If persons can not make it to one of the Stuff-A-Bus locations, they can drop off donations at two locations: Bloomington Transit\’s main office at 130 West Grimes Lane Monday-Friday between 8 AM and 4:30 PM and at the Bloomington AMVETS Post 2000, 5227 West Airport Road or contact Brenda Underwood at 812.961.0523.
