BT Late Nite On-Demand
In response to BT’s ongoing operator shortage, BT must reduce late evening service beginning June 27th, 2022. While service is reduced, riders may use Uber and/or Lyft at a deeply discounted rate.
BT Late Nite Program Details

- Trips taken within the blue zone are eligible for BT discount on Uber and/or Lyft (trips must start and end within the zone)
- UPDATE (7/26/2022) The BT Late Nite service zone has been updated and expanded to include the corridor along Route 3 East
- Riders pay the first $1 of ride, BT pays up to $19 per trip
- BT or IU passes do not apply
- BT-Discounted rides on Uber and/or Lyft are available 9:00p-12:00a, Monday-Friday
- Riders without smartphones may call BT to book a trip
- Riders in need of a wheelchair-accessible vehicle may call BT to book a trip
How to get BT discount on Uber/Lyft in the late evening:
- Download the Uber and/or Lyft app on your mobile device
- Create an account, update your rider information
- Beginning June 27th, if you are taking a trip that starts and ends within the service area (pictured above) between 9:00p-12:00a you are eligible for a BT discount
- Enter the Discount Voucher Code provided by BT as a method of payment
- If your trip is eligible for a discount, it will be applied to your payment
- Riders pay the first $1 of any trip, and amount over $20
- Take your trip!
